REV. BENITA R. LAWRENCE

My name is Benita R. Lawrence. I was born in Washington, D.C. I resided in Prince Georges’ County during my childhood and graduated from Prince Georges County Public School System. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Services. I served as a Language Arts instructor in both the District of Columbia and Prince Georges County School System for 20 years. I am married to Minister Dwayne Lawrence and I have two teen daughters: Kalaye and Victory Lawrence. I love God with all of my heart and I desire to please Him in every area of my life as I am transformed by His Spirit. I am a member of Liberty Christian Church in Oxon Hill, Maryland. I am an ordained minister of the Gospel, a songwriter and the author.

Earlier this year, I introduced a 12 Book Collection which is entitled, Say No! To Depression. The books provide insight and strategies to overcome Depression for women of God, men of God, young ladies and young men ages 12-18 and children. I was inspired by the precious Holy Spirit to write the books.

I battled my own tumultuous bout with Depression for many years. Although I was preaching the Gospel, singing and writing praise music, I was ensnared by the claws of Depression. After many years of suffering, I did finally learn how to partner with the Holy Spirit to identify and denounce the schemes of the enemy. I would like to share what I have learned and actively apply in my daily life to remain free from emotional and spiritual bondage.

Although you may not be aware of it, many of your leaders and congregants may be suffering from Depression.I am available for individual ministry, small groups and ministry to the entire congregation. I do not require any compensation.

Please prayerfully consider contacting me for a time of sharing. I am available to share at home studies, organization meetings, fellowships, Bible studies and morning, afternoon and evening services. I want you to use my experience and victorious emergence as a resource to instill hope and promote deliverance in the people of God. I am here for you if you need me.

Yours in Christ,

Benita R. Lawrence
